Preschool Programs
In Victoria, our kinder and Preschool programs are also guided and strengthened by the use of the Victorian Ealy Years Learning and Development Framework. It identifies five learning and development outcomes for all children from birth to eight years: identity, community, wellbeing, learning, and communication.
It provides practice principles to guide our early childhood professionals to work together, with children and with families, to achieve the best outcomes for every child. The framework:
enables us to work more effectively with other professionals and with families.
provides valuable guidance for supporting children and families in their transitions through the first eight years of a child’s life.
provides a shared language and guiding principles for achieving the best outcomes for every child by supporting a continuity of learning.
Our professional team at EHJ, confidently utilises these frameworks as they plan, implement and evaluate their educational programs and goals.
Our School Readiness Program incorporates project-based experiences that reflect their interests and ideas, exploring real-world topics in meaningful, engaging ways. Children are able to become active participants in their learning by:
Leading their own learning through curiosity and creativity
Strengthening their problem-solving and decision-making skills
Practicing teamwork, communication, and collaboration
Building their resilience, responsibility, and a strong sense of self
Digital Technology
Guided by our educators, children learn through play and purpose, gaining the confidence and capability to take on new challenges as they prepare for primary school. This includes the use of digital technologies under direct staff supervision, using secure, age -appropriate platforms.
Extra-Curricular programs
Our Funded Kinder and Preschool programs are also enhanced through weekly music and movement, cooking, STEM, Show and Tell, yoga, Martial Arts, ELLA, sport, weekly Chinese language classes, librarian visits, gardening, excursions, incursions, and school readiness programs.
